Judith Lieu, the Lady Margaret’s Professor of Divinity at Cambridge University, has made her excellent work on Marcion accessible to the public. Here is her recorded lecture at the Centre for the Study of Christian Origins (CSCO, the University of Edinburgh), her article “Marcion and the Idea of Heresy,” and her article “Marcion and the Ideology of Texts” that reviews some ancient (e.g. Tertullian, Epiphanius) and modern (e.g. Vinzent, Klinghardt, Roth) scholarship on Marcion. These are based on her publications Marcion and the Making of a Heretic: God and Scripture in the Second Century (Cambridge University Press, 2015) and “Marcion and the Synoptic Problem” in New Studies in the Synoptic Problem (Leuven: Peeters, 2011).
