New Critical Dictionary of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements

The Critical Dictionary of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements provides “independent, scholarly, open-access information about apocalyptic and millenarian movements.” It covers a variety of apocalyptic movements in different religious traditions in different times and places. The first handful of articles have now been posted online, but there are plenty that are still to come. If you are interested, I have written the piece of an early Christian teacher named Cerinthus and the debate over whether he was a demiurgical or a millenarian thinker or both. Here is how you can cite the article: Michael Kok. “Cerinthus.” In James Crossley and Alastair Lockhart (eds.) Critical Dictionary of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements. 15 January 2021. Retrieved from www.cdamm.org/articles/cerinthus.
